Dr. Ubi grew up among animals and was always interested in the veterinary field. Since he was little, his favorite animal was the dog. Now he cares for dogs and a variety of other pets as a Veterinarian and the Practice Owner of Cambie Animal Hospital!
After veterinary school, Dr. Ubi joined the armed forces as a veterinarian, where he was in charge of horses and dogs. After 10 years in the armed forces, he moved to Vancouver and has settled here with his family ever since. He’s been a licensed veterinarian since 1988, and has served as a member and Chair of the Board of Examiners for the British Columbia Veterinary Medical Association. He also was elected twice as Councilor for the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia, and was Vice President of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia in 2012.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Ubi likes working on medical cases, especially soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries. He is always rewarded when his knowledge and expertise makes a pet feel better.
Dr. Ubi and his wife have a daughter, Kiram, who started university this year. The family has a four-year-old Pomeranian named Truffles. In his spare time, Dr. Ubi likes to stay fit by hiking, playing group sports, and golfing regularly.
